Getting Started with Jobs

🤔 What is a Job?

Think of a Job like a folder that contains all of the Images, Orders, and Subject Data for a specific shoot or event. Everything you built and configured in Blueprint is used as the building blocks for a new job.

Any local changes made in a Job are to be synced back to the ImageQuix Cloud and be made available on every device you use.

Creating your first job - explained

Click on the Jobs tab to access the Jobs table. This is where all jobs the studio has created are accessed and managed. Click on the Job Title to open an existing job, or use the green + New button to create a new job:

There are multiple pages with options to configure during setup, but this section will only go through the minimum requirements needed to create a job.

Once you've opened the New Job Setup tool, enter the following:

Job Title

Make sure to make this something easily identifiable for both the studio and your clients. They can see the title when they visit their gallery, while browsing your Studio link, or on the order invoice.

Job Type

Select the appropriate Job Type from the provided drop-down list. Choosing the right type will assist in other areas of Blueprint, such as:

  • Restricting Global Discount Codes to work with specific Job Types

  • Running Bookkeeping reports for specific Job Types

  • Job Filtering Views from the Jobs Table

The available selections are:

  • Wedding

  • Portrait

  • Seniors

  • Underclass Spring

  • Underclass Fall

  • Sports

  • Event

  • Daycare Spring

  • Daycare Fall

Here you will find several options for configuring your job's type and properties:

The job will support individual subject records - each having a unique online code used to access their gallery.

  1. This option is checked by default.

  2. This option is locked after job creation.

The job will support ordering on a gallery regardless of subject data or image availability.

Check the box to allow customers to pre-order (submit orders without verifying subject gallery or selecting images).

  1. Attach a Custom Form for customers to include data that will be needed to match orders to subjects after checkout.

  2. Toggle-off to force customers to verify subject gallery and order with image selections.

Green Screen

The job will support PNG images uploaded to the gallery and allow customers to view custom backgrounds rendered behind their pose online.

  1. This option is locked once the job is created.

  2. The price sheet used needs Background Sets for customers to view and order on with their PNG image.

The job is hidden from your studio's Gallery Landing Page.

Customers will only be able to access with a direct gallery or subject link.

Manually Set Online Codes

The job will allow you to customize or define a unique id for subjects when creating a subject or importing data.

Leave unchecked to have Blueprint create and lock-in guaranteed unique codes for your subjects

  1. Commonly-used when using subject-known unique identification as the "password" to the gallery. (ex. Student IDs).

  2. The job can still create guaranteed unique codes for subjects while this option is enabled, if needed.
