***NOTE: Printing from a Job is a Smart Workflow feature***

What are Printing Preferences?

The Printing section of your preferences is where you'll set the studio's preferred default print settings. While these settings will be used as the default print settings for all of your Jobs in Blueprint, they can be overwritten on a case-by-case basis.

Where do I set my Studio's Printing Preferences?

In Preferences, select the Printing section to set your print options. You can set the default Printer Hot Folder and your preferred printer. The Printer Hot Folder must match the same folder configured in your printer manufacturer's utility software for Print Templates (such as ID Cards) to automatically print.

NOTE: Printer selection in app is temporarily disabled due to our recent framework upgrade. Blueprint will use your default printer set on your computer. To switch printers, change the default printer in your computer's settings.

How do I set my Job's Printing Preferences?

In the Job, open Smart Tag and click on the Settings button in the top-left corner. In Smart Tag settings, scroll to the bottom to find the Job's Printing Preferences. Making any changes here will alter your Printing Preferences only for the active Job.

Printing from Blueprint

Now that the printing preferences have been set, you can print your template from your Jobs using your Subject Data. You can either print a template for a single subject or for multiple subjects using the Print Job tool.

Single Subject

Select the Subject you'd like to print a template from in the Subject tab. Click on the Print command in the top-right corner of the screen and select the desired print template to begin printing.

Click on the Tools drop-down to select Print Job. Select the desired Print Template in the side-window that appears (if applicable) to begin printing a template for every subject in the Job. Choose the applicable settings (like File Type, Group Selection, and Sort) to begin the print.
